Set up in 2003 by Tremors Recordings’ Martyn Hare in collaboration with the Stay Up Forever collective, Emetic soon became one of those labels that all the techno dj’s were supporting. Aided by frequent plays from John Peel on BBC Radio 1 and Top 5 chartings by Carl Cox and Laurent Garnier, the Emetic label gained worldwide recognition and respect for no-nonsense dancefloor filling techno.
